If … Control … Love … Pain … Guilt … Fear …

Jesus said to his disciples: “What do you think? If a man has a hundred sheep, and one of them has gone astray, does he not leave the ninety-nine on the hills and go in search of the one that went astray? And if he finds it, truly I say to you, he rejoices over it more than over the ninety-nine that never went astray. So it is not the will of my father who is in heaven that one of these little ones should perish.” Matthew 18:12-14

If.

“And if he finds it …”

When that word “if” is employed as it is here just who is in control? And just what does “being in control” really mean? And just what does “I was out of control” really mean?

When these tiny (tiny!) words like “if” are used by God Soft Hands Jesus … just what is He trying to show us when it comes to control – when it comes to who is in control – when it comes to who is out of control – just what is “control” – and “if” we seek control …

Just what is it we are controlling?

I find stuff like this from Matthew bobbling around as I was drawn to Sammy’s blog – again – this morning. The Surviving Suicide Blog. The Love is Universal Blog. The “Love Is Always The Answer” Blog (my additional labels and tags – not Sammy’s)

And I am curious.

To see if you find some of your own “bobbling around” if you were drawn to the same words. Stuff that may be relevant to your walk with your Lord. To your journey and living. In your relationship. In your faith. In your “real”.

Stuff like …

If … Control … Love … Pain … Guilt … Fear … Why … Why not … but always Love.

Always.

*** I have scanned and re-scanned Sammy’s post looking for that “essential sentence or paragraph” to add here as a taster. The problem is that every sentence and every paragraph is the essence.

So rather than spend time on a futile quest – here is the link:-

Thank you.
