We can – and we will – each hear the silence

Yesterday someone touched me. Someone with their own voices. Someone in despair. Someone yet to hear His voice.

This is especially for you.

((hug)) :-/ ((hug)) :-/ ((hug)) :-/ ((hug)) :-/ ((hug))

“Be silent, and come out of him!”

There are many with so much noise, so many conflicting emotions, so many voices. Today. Right now. Right here. So much noise. Such loud voices. So much terror. So much despair. So much fear there is never silence. So much hopelessness He is never heard. So much shit the darkness snuffs out the light.

“Be silent, and come out of him!”

I have been to such places. Diagnosed. Treated. Prescribed. Therapised. All of which turns down the volume a little. Yet brings more responsibilities – when to take, what to take, when to say, what to say. The stairs are long, steep, and wearying. And it is hard to hear that small still voice. There are so many others.

“Be silent, and come out of him!”

We all hear voices – each one of us. Some of us are diagnosed. Some keep it to themselves. Some can distinguish the light from the dark. Some cannot. Yet.

But when we finally hear that voice … learn that sound … hear His voice above all others … then we can – and we will – each hear the silence.

“He” – Jaci Velasquez

Heaven is a place…
Where mothers don’t have to cry for their babies
Wonderin’ if they’ll live to see 16
Fighting in the street for some money wonderin’ if they’ll ever make ends meet
Heaven is a place that everyone dreams of, filled with kindness flowing with the real love
One day I’m gonna climb those golden stairs
But until I get there,

(He) is working on me
(He) never leaves me
(He) lets me know that I am not alone in the darkness
(He) wants me to be happy
(He) smiles when I’m laughing
(He) makes me believe
Heaven’s a place

Here, in my soul if I listen
There, even when I think it isn’t
Building everywhere that I go
Calling out so that I can follow
Love is a place and it’s all around us
Like a circle, it’s around us
Where I wanna be, until I learn to fly
Until I reach the sky

(He) is working on me
(He) never leaves me
(He) lets me know that I am not alone in the darkness
(He) wants me to be happy
(He) smiles when I’m laughing
(He) makes me believe
Him, He knows Ohh Ohh

You know, He knows you Oh Oh He knows me too yeah
(He) is working on me (He’s working on me)
(He) never leaves me (He never leaves me)
(He) lets me know that I am not alone in the darkness
(He) wants me to be happy
(He) smiles when I’m laughing
(He) makes me believe
Him, Ohhh

He’s working on me
He never leaves me Oh Oh Oh
He’s working on me
Yeah, HE never leaves, He always listens
Oh he loves me, Yeah Yeah

  1. Powerful! I look forward to every single post you write – everything you write makes so much sense and cuts straight to what matters. Thankyou!

    • Merryn – WOW! Thank you.

I read your reblog this morning. That one punched a few holes – and yet carried so much love in the words. So much inclusivity. Never happens until someone reaches out. And then words like yours – they reach out and they reconnect me. Thank you!

    • Tom, thank you. And for your email. Your words are brewing at the minute. A nice strong brew. Just enjoying the fermentation before getting back to you!! 🙂
