No one comes … (II)

So, dear Paul, here we sit together. What’s on your mind right now?
“How” is on my mind. Except that “what” is so huge – “how” is always out of reach.
What is so huge?
Allowing, Lord. Allowing others to see You in me, to know You in me, to allow others to WANT to come to You – so You can do the rest.
And that is huge? Being you is “huge” … ? Loving Me is “huge” … ? Are you sure, Paul?
Crap. You make me sound arrogant, Lord.
Or might that be “you” do that so much better than I ever could? Anyway – I notice that you saved a couple of posts – bookmarked them. Intended to refer to them in a post. Would you mind if I did that rather than you?
Forgive my chuckle, dear Father … Yes I had intended to – and No, I never expected You to grab them. Please – this will be interesting!

Okay, Paul – here we go: Tom Caton: “Do others see Jesus in you?”
Why that post if not because of the question: do you reflect Me to others? And with that comes a whole bunch of “techniques and strategies and should and should not.” You have to “know me” from the outside rather than the inside. You have to separate from Me to see Me. Because when we are One … You Can’t See Me …
Here’s a question:
Why do you need to see Me to be sure you are Me – I thought you said (a few times now) “Love does not need”?

And then this: Beejai: “Gift Unused”
Why this post if not for the simple truth: You Are Not Alone! And when you ponder and worry that the Universe and “God” will cease turning unless you answer my call on time every time … I have that covered.
Not because you are unreliable. Nor because you are not ready. Not even because I don’t trust you to hear Me and act. But because I love you (and for the sake of clarity – make that I “love you all”). You are never alone, and there are no tests. Why do you think you there should be – or even that I prefer putting you on the spot just to see what you will do?
So here’s another question:
If Love does not need – then why do you think I need to “test you” or that you “need” to be tested? Who gains (or loses) from that “dynamic”?

Okay, Lord well yes I ….

Shhhhhhhhh …. Paul. I don’t “need” an answer. You don’t “need” an answer. Just look at those words and consider this:
“No one comes to the Father but through Me” …
Now it’s my turn!
Wahoo!!
See those verses today? These verses:

”Jesus said, “Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! For you tithe mint, dill, and cummin, and have neglected the weightier matters of the law: justice and mercy and faith. It is these you ought to have practiced without neglecting the others. You blind guides! You strain out a gnat but swallow a camel! “Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! For you clean the outside of the cup and of the plate, but inside they are full of greed and self-indulgence. You blind Pharisee! First clean the inside of the cup, so that the outside also may become clean.”” Matthew 23:23-26

Strident words! Forceful words! Damning words! Needy words!! Now try something, Paul.
Try singing those verses with a happy tune, slow or fast – or even both.
Sing those verses and see what happens …

(and one tune immediately came to mind – GUAN TANA MERA (or “One Taramerra” as we happily sing here) with either wee Alfie or wee Tommy on my knee – as I make up words about Alfie and Tommy and Mummy and Daddy and all the silly things that happen)

Well Lord, singing those verses like that – and with all the memories of singing with Alfie and Tommy … that takes the “sting” out of the words.

Okay Paul. Another question for now:
Who does it impress when you add your own soundtrack of stridency, forcefulness, damnation, and need?
Because you may be right –
I might have said them in “that tone and soundtrack”. Or I might not.
That might just be Matthew adding His own soundtrack. It might not be My soundtrack”.

But you automatically do the “Hollywood thing” and add special effects. Thunder in My voice. An edited voice recording. Leave out all the “other silly words” in order to “make a point” – to teach what the Teacher said as the Teacher said it. And it must be true because it is “The Bible”. And we all know I send you to Hell if you screw with My “Bible”. Why do you never consider that “the entire transcript” would be “too boring” (not to mention taking up so much more ink – and paper – and time).

Those two blogs you bookmarked:
“How do others see Me in you?”
The How is not the what.
The How is simple – stop trying to see Me in you. Just be “you”.

“Gifts unused”?
I have that covered. No more to say.

And reading the bible/making Me a “production”?
Whenever you feel that creeping in: sing GUAN TANA MERA.
Because all the words that you read in “The Bible” – they were never “How to become God.” Not even “How to become Jesus.”
They were never “how to” become anything other than who YOU are already.

And we sat in silence across from this stall: “No one comes to Father … “ And then He eventually spoke again – very quietly – almost a whisper …

At what point does a musician stop seeing a “score” on a piece of paper – and begin to hear notes in his head? At what point does a musician stop hearing notes in his head – and hear the full orchestra? You have told me (without telling me) what you hear when you see the words “GUAN TANA MERA”: you hear “all of it”. So when you see words in the bible, Paul …

Tell Me what You hear …

  1. “Tell Me what you hear…” So much to take in :). A guest pastor preached a message a while back at our church. One line he said echoed in my head and heart for weeks…so much so, that I eventually wrote a song around the simple truth of that line. A few weeks later, I made a rough recording and told the pastor that his words had inspired me to write this song, and then I played it for him. Funny thing was that he never remembered uttering those words!! The Holy Spirit is always at work- interceding, nudging, whispering…lots to ponder in this post 🙂 🙂
