I know the whole

SUSAN IRENE FOX
(clink the link to see others’ reflections and memories of a very special human being)

———————————————————————-

“I never met Susan Irene Fox in the flesh.  I had not known Susan’s name for very long.  Never knew she even existed other than for two-three years.  Not long enough to know Susan – not as we say we should/must do.”
Susan’s memorial across WordPress

.

Even as I wrote those words … as the letters of the keyboard clattered … the time-span was clattering much louder around my head.

Two-Three Years … Two-Three Years … Two-Three Years … Two-Three Years … Two-Three Years … Two-Three Years …

And another who I only know from two-three years.  Someone whose early life is fragments of shards of a glass I never ever knew whole.  But never had to.  Someone whose two -three years is still just (more) shards of a glass I never will see whole either.  But never need to either.  I can read the bible and see only fragments and shards of the whole and never see the whole.

And yet …

I know the whole.

Just as with Susan – the stuff that matters – the stuff that is light – the stuff that draws me towards – the stuff that draws me after … that “stuff” of life …

Will only ever be shards of the whole.   Yet is more than I need.  More than I can hold.  More than I am or ever will be.

“I never met Susan Irene Fox in the flesh.  I had not known Susan’s name for very long.  Never knew she even existed other than for two-three years.  Not long enough to know Susan – not as we say we should/must do.”

Yet is it more than I need.

More than I can hold.

More than I am or ever will be.

Two-Three Years

Is all we ever need.

More than we can ever hold.

More than I am.

Or ever will be.

.

Don’t ask what can I do – what can I be – I am just one – I am just me –
Two-Three Years is all you ever need.
Is more than you need.
Is more than you can hold.
Is more than you are
Or ever will be.

.

Thank you, dear friends both, for showing me that.
