What if … ?

What if God were so simple that no theology was needed?
What if God was so present that no study was needed?
What if God was so not “god” that no names were needed?
What if God was so accessible that no saving was needed?

What if we like to get it wrong and make it complicated?
What if there is no wrong and no need for complication?
What if this is staring you and me in the face every second?
What if we prefer to think all this God stuff is hard work?

For four weeks I have not read the bible
For four weeks I have not read many blogs
For four weeks I have been almost housebound
For four weeks my horizons shrank

Yet expanded.

For four weeks I have been loved
For four weeks I have loved
For four weeks love has been detail,
Has been moment, has been everywhere.

So What If …

I expand as I shrink?
I expand as I love?
I expand not shrink?

And What If …

God is this simple?
Do I expand or do I shrink?
Do I make it complicated or not?

What if …

.

      • Yes of course it’s a way of living. But the word is the life Giver. It’s obviously you have plenty stored up inside of you. I will admit that I have gone length of time without studying the word as well. But I find that eventually it wears on my spirit and I start to fall into habits and things that are not good for me. So thinking that we can continue to not take the bread of life and stay above the evils of this world to me is a dream.

Yes, Paul and we make it complicated, I would have nothing to write if all we need say are those simple things to the everpresent indwelling God.
