The Bible coloring App tends mostly to be catholic in content, however this one seems evangelical Christian or fundamental Christianity,
If this Assumption holds true than I am no Christian.

When I think of the good old fashioned praying on my knees and beseaching the Lord. It is more than 20 years since I did.
When I was a child, a very young child my father used to pray with me everynight at bed time. On one occasion, my aunt, his sister was visiting and he wanted to show me off, he asked me to pray for aunty Lizzy.
So I said:
“Three old ladies, locked in the tavertry, they were there from Monday to Saturday and no body knew they were there”
Dad was embarrased, I thought I was mischievus and I didn’t know whether we continued our nightly prayers.
I have mentioned somewhere, I am not sure where ,that Prayer is neither in the words or the attitude but in the intention. Yet daily intention to pray like a child on my knees, or to return to a liturgy that does. To a Religious Tertiary Order with Hours of Prayer that brought me, at least three of those hours to the Office of the Church.
Do we have no claim to our Religion if we do not or cannot pray. Do we have any claim to be Muslim, or anything other. If we do Pray then is that the only criterion which makes us Christian, or anything else?
Our God is a God of love and accepts our intentions and those the spirit gives us when we do pray. I can pray publically during Bible Study. That is I can utter words by the formulae, attempt not ot make of Public prayer the occasion a gossip session… I have told my Pastor than I can nolonger pray, but I have heard you he said. But not from my heart I thought.
Thus the pretty picture above seems boastful and audatious. Our prayers, I know are to be private behind closed doors, else silently on the village Green. Contempating… I do all of these or try to .- the Village Green where the mother Maggpie swooped and nicked my ear -yet my meditations are of my shortcomings, not for the world and its people for our country, our leaders – the formula for Catholic/ Anglican prayer. Yes, I am sorry for myself, apathetic and depressed. All my good deeds live mostly in my head, yet those that do not seem natural reactions of the Christian to another human being and are not recognised,
Wrong
The naive assertion of whomever, can shame us or tear our tomented souls asaunder!
children’s prayers are always heard by. Whether for a new bike, a sick mother or for things they think are unethical according to their code.”When you pray say:’
Our Father which art in Heaven, or in the version you are accostomned, the Prayer Template for all prayer. To use words of praise to God, of God’s attributes, that God is Love for his love endures for ever.
Pray the Psalms.
On Sunday we listened to our Pastor pray a modern version of psalm 139
O LORD, you have searched me and you know me. You know when I sit and when I rise; you perceive my thoughts from afar. You discern my going out and my lying down; you are familiar with all my ways. 139.1 NIV

Thus we are known as we are and will be. Our needs before we utter them, before the Spirit even prompts us.
When we pray – say little and listen much. Carmelites pray at all times, since they consider their work is prayer, done in the service of God and Others.
One stories about St. Francis of Assisi relates how a brother watched the saint in prayer, and heard him pray the words, “Who are you, Lord my God, and who am I?” These two questions are fundamental to the Christian life. These stories about St. Francis of Assisi relates how a brother watched the saint in prayer, and heard him pray the words, “Who are you, Lord my God, and who am I?”

I love you O my God , and my only desire is to love You until the last breath of my life.I love You, O my infinitely lovable God,and I would rather die loving You, than live without loving You.I love You, Lord, and the only grace I ask is to love You eternallyMy God, if my tongue cannot say in every moment that I love You,I want my heart to repeat it to You as often as I draw breath.[2]
Saint John Vianney’s prayer to Jesus
And as we pray to the Father
“Our Father” The God who walks the Earth.
The Prayers of other Christians – saints have great value to form our utterences to our Father.
I used to pray, on my knees, the same prayers over and over again. After a time I found them meaningless, so I stopped. After that I just started talking to God. Whatever was on my mind: thanks, praise, requests, what was going on in my life, in the world, and, yes, even bitching. What I developed was a personal relationship, one where I felt comfortable saying whatever was on my mind, as if I were talking to a friend.
People say that Jesus gave us the Our Father, and that is how he meant us to pray, but that’s not what it says in Scripture:
Luke 11:1 And it came to pass that as he was in a certain place praying, when he ceased, one of his disciples said to him: Lord, teach us to pray, as John also taught his disciples.
This is halfway through Luke’s Gospel, Jesus did not bring it up, the apostles did. Would he have taught them if they had not asked, or was he trying to show them a different way? A way without meaningless utterances of the same words over and over as if they were some magical spell?
