  Job 19:25-27 NIV
25 I know that my redeemer lives,
    and that in the end he will stand on the earth.
26 And after my skin has been destroyed,
    yet in my flesh I will see God;
27 I myself will see him
    with my own eyes—I, and not another.
   How my heart yearns within me

I could have left the quote at verse 25, yet feel that the entire phrase makes the point – The End of the Road:is beyond the corruption of our flesh, when Christ will return- and our hearts do yearn for this end.

However it is a journey to this place, whether Job’s ash heap, Jonah’s Whale, or our own uncertain varied lives.

Our Journey is full of twisted streets and returning memories, doubts, confusion, fear, joy, peace,ecstacy..sure and certain hope.

At the end of our Journey the road may become clearer and the end in sight – at the end of this Road we shall meet with God!

What might happen when we do pass into the heavenlies?

John 11: 25 – 26: Jesus said to her (Martha), “I am the resurrection and the life. The one who believes in me will live, even though they die; 26 and whoever lives by believing in me will never die. Do you believe this? NIV

Whether dead or alive the believer will live in the sight of God, they that do not believe;reach the end of their Road – a dead end, no going back, What meeting might this be?

New International Version
Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe stands condemned already because they have not believed in the name of God’s one and only Son. John 3:18 NIV

A meeting with the Judge of the universes with the Sheep and Goats. Matthew 25 from verse 31

“Come you who are blessed of my Father”. These are they who keep the word /commandments of the Lord, Every deed of kindness is considerered a service, kindness to Christ.

No one knows how long that final Road will be, a life of joy and service to our Lord is something we offer from the time we are conscious of his presence in our lives. This beautiful attitude is Not something we can adopt quickly when in the face of death.

“So whether God is he she or it, the God we meet will probably not fit the idea we have in the back of our mind.Won’t it be interesting what we will find…at the end of the road”The End of the Road Roth Poetry

  1. And after my skin has been destroyed,
    yet in my flesh I will see God;

    I’ve had a discussion with several priests on the subject of cremation, both RC and Orthodox are against it on the grounds that, in the second coming, we will be raised, bodily, from the grave. It amazes me that the God who created the universe from nothing needs my bones to recreate me.
