First of all, 1 Corinthians 10.

Yes, it is plain to me that the faithful will come to this Truth, this is something many of us know in retrospect, especially when we are Catholics and speak of the three stages, or aspects of Church.

• The Church Militant – those who are here today
• The Church Penitent – from Catholic perspective, those already passed from us.
• The Church Triumphant – the Resurrection of the Body. and , naturally, these include every believer that ever was. Ourselves, our forebears and all who will rise again.

Dispensationalism.

I have to confess that I needed to look this one up here is a link to the explanation. There have been and still are many attempts to make sense of the Old Testament in the light of the New. Dispensationalism – either 7 or 3. reads to me like a kind of Paradigm Theory gone awry, convienient for those who like a neat and tidy progression.

Once saved always saved, is it possible to lose salvation.?

No we are not yet saved – we must work it out in fear and trembling!

It can be easy to believe if one thinks it is a done deal and rests on one’s laurels in confidence that nothing can separate one from the love of God and his gift.. Ezekiel says the soul that sins, it shall die! Ezekiel 18:4.

Yes! the penalty for our sins was paid in full through the death and resurrection of the final Passover Lamb – the Lord Jesus Christ. But what of our lives? Baptism didn’t end the lawlessness in me, it will be a long Journey to my Salvation – it hasn’t happened yet but Christ has made provision for it. The shepherd who guides gently and lovingly, who is all forgiving if we are repentent.

Zechariah 14.

According to Jewish Commentry the Festival referred to in Zechariah 14 is not Passover but Sukkah or Sukkot – the Feast of Tabernacles, culminating in Shavuot. Each year in the Jewish religious Calendar the Feast of Tabernacles is celebrated to remind the Jews of the time thy spent in Tents in the dessert. It is a Feast of weeks or 50 days running between Passover and Shavuot.

There are some denominations today who keep Passover on the Thursday before Easter to re-enact the Lord’s Last Supper when he gave us a New Covenant in His Blood. He commanded his Apostles to celebrate the feast of Bread and wine = Holy Communion as often as they came together. BECAUSE there would be no more Passovers , he was the final Passover Lamb to be slain.

1Corinthians 11:23-26

In my estimation if we believe and understand what the Lord is saying to Israel and the Nations through Zechariah then it is Holy Communin that we should conduct as often as we come together -to do so since my particular denomination celebrates the Holy Communion once a month.

In closing I will say that the Spirit wanders where she will and gives to each one the Spirit of their journey whether as one who worships Christ through the old Rites or the New.
