Eden. Snake. Apple
Galatians 2:20
My old self has been crucified with Christ. It is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me. So I live in this earthly body by trusting in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me.

What does this mean – To be Crucified with Christ, some metaphysics that placed us all on the cross with Jesus, paying the price for our own sins which defeated the purpose of the death of Jesus.
Nothing so insane as that but nevertheless somewhat so, because at some stage in our lives we might recognise why Paul believed he was Crucified with Christ.
To be crucified with Christ is to have realized with understanding that the penalty for our sins is actually paid for. In this manner the self that was,is with Christ on the tree of the cross- truly dead to sin.
Our conversion did not bury our sins in the death of Christ,if it were so we would have not sinned again. We do and cannot deny it; from the one who now prays for release from unmentionable things to that one,so close to the cross that a hurtful thought is believed to crucify Christ again.
Far more difficult and yet simple is our walk to being dead in our sins and alive to Christ.
We begin at the banks of the Jordan and are baptized into the death of Christ and begin our journeys toward our own death on the cross. Theory of church may give false hope of definite salvation! The reality of our living reveals a long way to go.
Throughout our lives as Followers of the Way we grow and are watered by the Spirit to whole and Holy ones. The closer we follow the greater our understanding of the One we are to become.
We are not “saved” until Faith reveals to us the Cross of Crosses. Until we know that we are redeemed and are willing to join our physical bodies with him. To rise again into our new life in Christ, in which our joy is to walk in His way. For we will not live but with God in us and us in God.
