The Word Became Flesh
1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. 2 He was with God in the beginning. 3 Through him all things were made; without him nothing was made that has been made. 4 In him was life, and that life was the light of all mankind. 5 The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome[a] it.
Humanity speaks many languages,and I am almost certain that God didn’t invent any of them. Why, then so many ask which language God spoke?

In my last post I explored the possibility that first centry Jews were most familiar with the LXX Biblical translation, rather than the Hebrew, this was demonstrated by comparing the recorded quotes of Jesus in the Gospels with both the Greek and Hebrew forms of the Tanakh.1
Greek or does it matter?
Why do a significate number of writers opt for the Greek version? Were the people of the time well versed in it? Again, my reading has brought me to what I have always considered to be the case, that Aramaic, low Hebrew, Biblical Hebrew by the “Temple crowd”and some Greek were spoken throughout Judah, Greek especially in Sepphoris. “Some Greek” and we recall Andrew and Philip( Both Greek names) bringing Greeks(Hellenised Jews) to Jesus to hear the Message:
20 Now there were some Greeks among those who went up to worship at the festival. 21 They came to Philip, who was from Bethsaida in Galilee, with a request. “Sir,” they said, “we would like to see Jesus.” 22 Philip went to tell Andrew; Andrew and Philip in turn told Jesus.

I reached the conclusion that it doesn’t really matter, except to the purists, in which language the living Word delivered Himself- mainly in Aramaic and others as necessary.
So why the Language of God?
All throuugh the Scriptures we read the words “God Said” and until now, since every one to whom God spoke, understood I/we have never given such Anthropomorphism a thought, God spoke, Adam whined,Isaiah Prophesied and the rest… somehow all, even us, absorb and heed God’s Words in our own Languages.
Having lowered God to one with Mortal disabilities some have asked of this one, what is your native Tongue? Have made the Authorised joke – BTW English was not yet invented, have even proposed that it might have been some antediluvian tongue. Read the following, Antediluvian Civilizations, it is interesting though still has no bearing on The Language of God – OR MORE IMPORTANTLY – THE LANGUAGE OF THE WORD.

O.K. So when the Word joined us here on Terra Firma he gave up the language of Angels to struggle with those of men.
If we had the Old Tetament in the tongue of God, the Word incarnate would not make head nor tail of it.
