I have no fear

Today it is murky outside.  I have no fear.

I can see enough to be safe.  Because as I move around my “seeing zone” moves with me.  Walking?  Easy-peasy.  Driving?  Just slow-down and all is well.  Flying?  Make sure the plane has all the tech needed.

Today it is murky outside.  I have no fear.

? Isn’t “walking in faith” similar?  The next step is visible – maybe the next two or three.

? Isn’t “living” just like this?  Plans needing to be rearranged and adapted.

? Isn’t life and love and living and loving exactly this?

So why do I so often hear that “faith is not enough” – we must know we will succeed in the Lord’s work?

So why do I see so many living a static life – never moving to the next step without knowing the destination?

And why do so many live life in fear – always afraid that this relationship won’t work out, or that job might not be the answer, or our children aren’t doing well enough (for what?), or that we may not have enough money, or that we don’t have enough time, or that …

“Something Unknown” causes us to fear “Something Out Of Sight”

(causes us to fear what we cannot know … causes us to live a life less than we desire … a life in a safe place always … which we think we can never find …)

Today it is murky outside.  I have no fear.

I can see enough to be safe.  And as for what I cannot see … ?

I walk with One who desires only my safe place.  Always.

So my safe place moves with me.
